Fishing Trips

West slope Cutthroat Trout use the Middle Fork as a spawning corridor and are abundant throughout our fishing season. State regulations require that all fishing for this species is conducted on a catch and release basis. This is a great waterway to learn or practice your fly-fishing techniques. The fish here do not get a lot of pressure and usually are very active. Our guides are great instructors and can help even first timers have a productive day. In addition to fishing, there are many opportunities to view wildlife such as deer, eagles, and osprey. A Montana State Fishing License is required and available locally. Price is based on 1-2 people per boat, and includes fishing rods, flies, and a light snack.

This trip is run on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River starting late May through August. On this scenic trip float along a 6 mile stretch of the Middle Fork. The trip begins with a few miles of fantastic mountain views. Along this stretch of river we often see Eagles, Osprey, Water Ouzels, and wide variety of other birds. Occasionally we float by Black Bear, Whitetail Deer, and Beavers. After three miles of mountain views, the river enters a gorgeous canyon with sheer rock walls and active trout. This canyon is truly spectacular and can only be seen from a raft. No experience is necessary for this trip. This trip is ideal for families with small children or for anyone who would rather skip the whitewater. We are comfortable taking children as young as four years old and have taken seniors of all ages. Wear shoes that have straps and can get wet.
